Teacher Program Manager

Located in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Cenet is a non-profit organization dedicated to international education and cultural exchange. Cenet is designated by the United States Department of State as a BridgeUSA Program Sponsor and administers the Intern, Trainee, Camp Counselor, Summer Work Travel, Research Scholar, Short-Term Scholar, Specialist and Teacher programs for non-U.S. participants. Cenet also operates the Magellan Exchange, a consortium of universities worldwide which offers student and faculty academic exchanges.

Cenet is seeking a talented and mission-driven Program Manager to lead and grow our Bridge USA Teacher Program. This full-time role will focus on developing, expanding, and administering this newly launched program while supporting international teachers and U.S. host schools to ensure successful, compliant, and meaningful cultural exchange experiences.

Remote work is possible for the right candidate.  You will be reporting directly to our Professional Exchanges Program Director.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Showcase experience working with BridgeUSA exchange programs, including sponsor operations.
  • Have knowledge of U.S. Department of State regulations and best practices for BridgeUSA program administration.
  • Demonstrate the ability to grow new business lines and partnerships, develop strategy, and implement tactics related to business development.
  • Display a firm understanding of the SEVIS database.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, especially one that involves navigating evolving federal policies and complex stakeholder needs.
  • Apply a growth mindset when learning new systems or program processes.
  • Enjoy working independently and collaboratively with sponsors, host schools, and international representatives.
  • Be able to think critically and solve problems with minimal oversight, maintaining professionalism and accuracy under pressure.

The Role: Teacher Program Manager

As our BridgeUSA Teacher Program Manager, you will work as part of the team launching this new product, developing relationships, closing sales, overseeing day-to-day program operations, ensuring adherence to Department of State regulations, while supporting both participants and host schools to ensure a successful cultural exchange experience.

Your role will blend sales and marketing, application processing, participant support and supervision making you a key liaison between the international teacher, host school and representative agency.

In addition, you will:

  • Manage and oversee all SEVIS-related activities, including DS-2019 issuance, validation, and record maintenance
  • Ensure program compliance with 22 CFR Part 62 and other federal regulations
  • Develop, implement, and update policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Monitor participant progress and address issues or incidents in a timely and compliant manner.
  • Ensure compliant supervisor for international teachers while on program.
  • Analyze program data and compile reports for the Department of State and internal leadership.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging technology and data for operational efficiency.

A bachelor or advanced degree is preferred. Salary is commensurate with experience.
